The symbol of the crossed-out trash can on batteries or accumulators means that they must not be disposed of in household waste at the end of their service life. If batteries or accumulators contain mercury, cadmium or lead, you will find the relevant chemical symbol (Hg, Cd or Pb) below the symbol of the crossed-out trash can. You are legally obliged to return old batteries and accumulators. You can do this free of charge to us or to another collection point in your area. You can obtain addresses of suitable collection points from your city or local authority. You can also find more information about the battery law on the Internet at www.batteriegesetz.de.
