E-marking present and permanently sewn in
For the TÜV, it is important that the entire seatbelt – including the belt, mountings and screws – is produced by a single manufacturer and has a printed E-marking permanently sewn in. This is the case here; the seatbelt meets all TÜV requirements
Note on installation:
Please note! The reel has a built-in safety mechanism that prevents the belt from unrolling when not fitted or at an incorrect angle. The reel must be fitted in a vertical position so that the seatbelt can be unrolled. The seatbelt can be tested before installation; here’s how. Hold the reel – in the same position as it will be fitted – upside down at a 90-degree angle against a straight wall and pull the strap out gently. If you pull it jerkily, the reel will jam. The strap is not suitable for vehicles with a seatbelt sensor!
