The paint code for your Lada Niva (models 2121, 21214, Taiga, Urban) can be found in several locations on the vehicle:
- On a label in one of the upper corners under the hood (left or right)
- Stamped into the metal near the battery/firewall or on an extra aluminum plate
- In the vehicle's service manual
- In some cases, the chassis number might also help
If the sticker is missing or the color is heavily faded, you can also remove the fuel cap and have the color matched by a professional painter. Paint shops can professionally match the color. Nowadays, the color can be easily scanned in a professional paint shop, even if the shop does not carry Lada colors.

Note: The three-digit paint codes for Lada are not to be confused with RAL colors; they belong to a unique system.
Rare cases: For older vehicles or those with paint jobs, the sticker might be missing or illegible – in such cases, the only option is professional reading by a painter. Some owners also combine original paint with touch-ups using similar standard colors, which can lead to deviations.
